This phone was all the rage at this years CES. Already a big hit with consumers in Australia, the ZTE T82 is now being introduced to markets around the world via CES. The phone features a 4.3 inch screen and the device runs on Android’s 4.0 ice cream sandwich. The phone can also be used to capture HD video and features an 8 megapixel camera. The internal storage size is 4 GB.
Grand S (ZTE)
Touted as the slimmest phone on the market with a size of 142 x 69 x 69mm. The ZTE is designed to be sleek and user friendly. The device offers a 5-inch screen and features a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro Quad-Core processor with 2GB of memory. The phone is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Currently this device is only available in China.
Ascend D2 (Huawei)
This phone also gained some buzz at CES for it’s size and power. The phone has a 5-inch screen and is powered by Android’s 4.1 jell bean. The phone features a 13 megapixel camera with a 1080x 1920 resolution. The Ascend 2 has a long battery life and charges quickly. The heart and soul of this device is the 1.5GHz K3V2 quad core CPU. This processor is believed to be the most powerful available for a phone on the consumer market. The device is also made to be durable and features casing and glass that is resistant to water and dust. Currently the phone is only available in Asia.
IdeaPhone S720 (Lenovo)
For those looking for a unique but affordable Android phone, the IdeaPhone may be the solution. The phone is powered by Androids 4.9 ice cream sandwich and features a 8 megapixel camera. The device also has a dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor. At the current time the company aims to have this device available in certain impoverished countries but will likely move to other markets in the future.
Overall CES has exposed some savvy new phones for the Android market. Many tech companies are beginning to have a greater understanding about how people use their phones and as such better devices are being created. All of the listed devices are better and faster than many of the Android phones that were unveiled at last year’s CES.
